Teachers...
Her journey has evolved through the gifts of many circles, into a Rainbow Medicine Path, now as teacher/student of the White Drum Mesa of the North. She is a gifted experienced, multicultural facilitator whose classes are full of sacred play, ceremony, music and drum. A member of the "tribe" of US Dominican Women for over 35 years, Valorie has served in diverse roles as community health nurse, holistic educator, spiritual/guide, and social/peace activist together within communities of marginalized families in crisis, HIV/AIDS programs, Cambodian refugee camps, in urban and rural settings in New York, Latin America, Haiti and Asia. As a student of Life, Valorie has been taught and initiated as healer/ shaman/ earthkeeper by indigenous teachers from the Americas, Southeast Asia, Sweden and New York. Her focus and passion is to continue the listening and responding to the urgent call of Mother Earth and all her Children for transformation and healing in this critical time of a new epoch for the Human Being. Valerie is committed to sharing the gifts of this ancient shamanic tradition for healing and transformations. She currently has a private practice and teaches in Kamloops, BC. Valerie is a wonderful gifted teacher who shares her knowledge with mindful heart, humour and loving integrity.

A drum that would be of service to the healing of our blessed earth mother, Pachamama and our Ayllu Community in the Kamloops sacred valley and outer area(s)... A call has gone out to all lightworkers and indigenous nations around the world in calling for justice - for healing. ** According to a Sacred Prophecy revealed at the Otomi Ceremonial Center by Otomi Elder Sages, the day when the sounds of 8,000 Sacred Drums join together is the beginning of the healing of Mother Earth. It is time to unify ourselves to rediscover the seeds of the Four Directions - to reactivate cosmic energy, heal historical wounds. It's time to respect life, liberty and the dignity of Our Peoples. Next Session: March 31-April 01, 2012 During the Basic experiential workshop, participants are introduced to core shamanism, the universal and near-universal basic methods of the shaman to enter nonordinary reality for problem solving and healing. Particular emphasis is on the classic shamanic journey, one of the most remarkable visionary methods used by humankind to explore the hidden universe otherwise known mainly through myth and dream. Participants are initiated into shamanic journeying, aided by drumming and other techniques for experiencing the shamanic state of consciousness and for awakening dormant spiritual abilities, including connections with Nature. her life energies for the empowering and flowering of sacred conciousness,
embodied and ensouled, personally and globally. 
Valerie
Owen, RN, is a nurse who has been practicing bodymind therapy
for over 40 years. She has an extensive background in individual
and group therapy, specializing in addiction counseling and counselor
training. She has been initiated in the healing traditions of the
Inca medicine people of Peru.

carol weaver is a multi-faceted visual artist, singer-songwriter
and sacred drummer who will be assisting and offering sacred
music for our weekend - engaging us in singing and sacred song and
chant.
