A note about the editor, Patt O'Neill who is the creator of this free gift of ayni to all of us on this sacred path...

One of the first things I tell my students is that this study is about YOU, it is not about the teacher or other students. Any issues you have are really with yourself. Thus, I hesitate to inject much in the way of personal information into this document.

I have been writing for pay since 1977, penning feature articles for local and regional publications, even the occasional national rag. I have been the editor of a business journal and a lifestyle magazine. If you are interested in my writings, some are in my blog here.

My background in spiritual healing begins in 1967. How appropriate that my education in this subject would begin in the Summer of Love!

Know me by this work. It is a true labor of love. Love is the only energy that could have pushed me through the tedium of creating such a detailed thing and inspired me to continue into a second edition. Many hundreds of hours have gone into this glossary. It is my ayni for the amazing gifts that I have been given since I began the journey in Inca shamanism in 1997. I was born with a talent for writing and editing and an ability to do highly detailed work. In this glossary I am able to put those skills to use and follow my bliss.

Good medicine and powerful wise words from the Toltec Shamanic Path...

1 • BE IMPECCABLE WITH YOUR WORD...

Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

2 • DON'T TAKE ANYTHING PERSONALLY...

Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.

3 • DON'T MAKE ASSUMPTIONS...

Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.

4 • ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST...

Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstances, simply do your best and you will avoid selfjudgement, self-abuse and regret.
