journey of Self-Healing through the Sacred
Path of the Inca/Andean & Earth Mother
Shamanic Tradition:
The Medicine Path is a fourfold path to
knowledge and power. It is a path of personal
transformation and beauty, dedicated to
the healing service of the Pachamama (Mother
Earth), of Great Spirit, and of all their
children. It is said in the Andes that the
true purpose of life is the evolution of
consciousness.
This
experiential, transformative path through
the four cardinal directions will meet for
3 days every five months for four sessions.
Those who complete the journey receive the
gift of peace, through their own personal
healing, and the duty to articulate power
and wisdom in the world as a full Mesa (stone
medicine bundle) carrier of the Inca/Andean
Lineage. As you continue on the Medicine
Journey your mesa begins to grow and connect
you to all of creation, calling upon the
mountains and the essential forces of nature
to work with you. The training is designed
around the great animal archetypes of the
Inca tradition which embody the organizing
principles of the Universe, and in turn
they assist us in growing the seeds of our
own destiny while engaged in Ayni —
right relationship, right thinking, and
right action. It is a path of deep personal
and collective healing.

Fire
of the South -
We begin our work in the South, the Serpent
Path where we shed the past as the serpent
sheds her skin, mythically, energetically
and completely. We release the "hungry
ghosts" of our personal history which
continue to haunt us, awaken our Light Body,
and learn to walk with beauty on the Earth.
Fire
of the West: -
This is the work of the West, the
way of the Jaguar, the path of the Luminous
Warrior, one who has no enemies in this
world or the next. In this direction we
step beyond fear, violence and death. The
west direction is the way of enlightened
leadership so necessary in our world today.
Fire
of the North: -
This
is the work of the North, the way of the
Hummingbird, and the Dragon Path of the
"ancient ones" who reside outside
of time and space. We embrace the mystery
teachings and sacred knowledge of the Luminous
Lineage of the Inca.
Fire
of the East: -
This is the work of the East, the way
of the Condor/Eagle, the great archetype
of the East, the place of the rising sun,
the principle of seeing from high perspective
with clarity and compassion — learning
to see with the eyes of the heart. It is
the path of the visionary who dreams into
being a world of harmony, balance and peace.
It is the path of planetary service and
the path of our own personal becoming.

Valerie Owen
Valerie Owen is a nurse who has been practicing
body mind therapy for 25 years and has an
extensive background in individual and group
therapy. She has been initiated into the
healing traditions of the Inca medicine
people of Peru, through the Four Winds Society,
and has completed the basic and mastery
classes mentored by Alberto Villoldo and
José Luis Herrera. Valerie is committed
to sharing the gifts of this ancient shamanic
tradition for healing and transformation.
She currently has a private healing and
teaching practice in Kamloops, British Columbia.
 Assistant/Music:
carol weaver
Weaver is a multi-faceted musician and visual
artist. She holds a 3rd-level master degree
in the healing art of Reiki (Usui system)
and has been initiated into the shamanic
lineage of the Q'ero nation in Peru through
the Four Winds Society. She has studied
Celtic Shamanism, Core Shamanism with the
Foundation of Shamanic Studies and Healing
the Lightbody. Her love and connection in
partnership with Pachamama, our blessed
earth mother is with the drum, strings and
voice—moving and shifting energy with
sacred sound. She is honoured to carry and
